Bassist David Sheets is the newest member of DT and is better known as an orchestral and chamber musician.  After leaving the Eastman School of Music in Rochester NY early  to begin his career as Assistant Principal Bassist of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, he has gone on to play with the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra, and is currently a member of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and Principal Bassist of the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra.  He has performed in trio and duo situations with players such as Monty Alexander, Bobby McFerrin and Branford Marsalis.  For jazz, David plays a Carcassi model bass by luthier Barrie Kolstein in New York.  More about David Sheets can be found on his personal website: www.contrabasso.net .
